About the Course

Funding agencies often require a Data Management Plan (DMP) to ensure that research output is handled responsibly and efficiently. Beyond compliance, a DMP acts as a blueprint for best practices for data management: it anticipates challenges, supports sustainable data workflows, and improves the overall quality and reproducibility of research.
This course uses DMP as the guiding thread to explore research data management: including documentation, storage, ethics, data protection, and FAIR principles. The course will also introduce participants to data management for Artificial Intelligence, highlighting what makes AI workflows unique, how the upcoming EU AI Act affects data governance, and how to assess the data AI readiness.
