Learning happens through a blend of coursework and hands-on research. Students not only master computational techniques but also apply them directly to biological problems. Our multidisciplinary organization allows competencies to be shared across departments and research centers. Excellence in Computational and Quantitative Biology is fostered by a strong network of institutions: the University of Bari (UniBari), a reference point for quantitative and theoretical approaches to biological complexity; the University of Trento (UniTrento), a hub for integrative life sciences, bioinformatics, and computational modeling; and the Human Technopole (HT), Italy’s flagship center for big data, genomics, and systems biology. Together, they create a rich environment for innovation, discovery, and collaboration across disciplines.
