To reflect the dual research-clinical commitment of those students, a fully funded scholarship of € 40,000 gross/year will cover the three years following the last year of the school of specialty. Students will also have available a student budget for travelling to conference/workshops/training courses.
Doctoral students will work in top-tier labs funded by AIRC grants across Italy. Main research areas covered are: Cancer Biology, Computational Biology, Genomic Medicine, Immunology, Molecular Therapy. For a full description of each research area

At least 20% of the student’s time must be spent in clinical settings. Each student will agree with the assigned supervisor and based on their previous clinical experience, where to conduct their clinical activity. This is a crucial aspect of the project, since it will allow PhD students to directly witness the complexity of the disease and translate scientific knowledge into immediate benefit for patients.
